Hi! I’m Vanessa, the owner and baker behind Pure Bliss Cookie Co.

Growing up, I always loved being in the kitchen. I remember helping my mom bake wedding cakes, baking and decorating cookies at Christmas and Valentine's Day, and preparing other desserts around the holidays. Going to the local grocery store to get new ingredients was always exciting and still is today. I was in a culinary arts program in high school, and went on to attend the Culinary Institute of America. While there I learned so much about the art of cooking and baking. Although I did not finish my time at the Institute, it is a goal of mine to one day complete and earn my degree in baking and pastry!

After a few years of working other jobs and occasionally baking for family and friends, I realized that baking was truly a passion of mine. With lots of practice, error, very long nights, and some long breaks from baking, I got better and better and decided that decorating sugar cookies was what I wanted to focus on. This is what brings me joy. I have met so many wonderful people in the cookie community and I have seen first hand how they come together to help and be there for one another.

I love to bake and decorate these tiny confections. I love seeing the smile on people’s faces when they see their finished cookies. My dream is to one day open a bakery (and I will get there one cookie at a time!) I have the best family, friends, and customers, and I am so thankful for their love and support of my cookie business. I have an amazing husband and two sons, and I would not be where I am today without them.
